And he was seen – Praise report God is Good!

My last story, “And he was seen – God is Good” was about a young man who was at the end of his dance training in an elite training facility.  He had felt that he had never been seen, that somehow he was hidden, but one night God had other plans.  A few months ago I felt God asked me to step out and stop to pray for him.  I was to declare that it was his time to be seen, to shine, and for the doors of his destiny to open … I was to declare those doors open in the name of Jesus Christ.

Well God has been busy in this young mans life.  I saw him yesterday, and he gave me permission to write a further story outlining what else had happened so far.

What this young man told me after the first encounter was that he had been contacted by the director of a great British dance company, and he had been offered a job – just after we had prayed and released God’s will on earth through prayer and declaration.  The start date of this job offer was a little early (this year), and would not have allowed the young man to complete his training and qualifications, and so we prayed for favour as he wrote to the director to negotiate a later start date.  In response to his email, the director did offer a later start date, but it was a little too late (late next year), and so we prayed again that the job would be brought forward, and that the contracts would be coming forthwith, and yes, he was offered an earlier start date, which allowed him travel time, time to settle and a great start time … and the contracts came …

Unbeknown to him, I started to ask God that he would be seen by a major Australian company, that he would be seen and given opportunities to shine …

A couple of weeks ago, I saw him in his workplace, looking tired but happy and he said that the director of the Australian company had given him opportunities to dance with the touring company.  The roles he had been offered were unexpected, but very welcomed by him.  He explained that the director had recognised particular gifts in him for a few roles, and so gave him the roles in their touring arm of the company … it was his chance to shine … and so he did 🙂

I was delighted as he told me his story, and I fessed up that I had been praying for him.  I then encouraged him to rest, since he looked very tired, and he allowed me to pray for a deep refreshing rest as he came into this current season of exams and finalisation of his education.

Unexpectedly, I saw this young man again yesterday morning.  I greeted him and asked how things were going for him, and to my absolute delight he happily told me that a great interstate dance company had offered him a contract, as had a major New Zealand company,  but, he said he was still planning to pursue the British offer – he said it felt right in his heart. I was so pleased for him and said so, telling him that when God opened those doors He really opened those doors … he laughed agreeing with me.

With the year-end coming I asked when his exams were, and I said I would pray for him.  I mentioned that it would be lovely if he would let me know by email how he gets on occasionally.  He said he would.  I said that he was on a wonderful journey, and I hoped he knows that he is loved by a good God.  For him at this stage, he has said to me that he isn’t too sure what that grid looks like, what it’s all about.  I explained that it was ok for him not to be too sure – it was a journey of discovery, that God was pursuing him – all he need to do was to pray and ask for God’s guidance, about anything, and God would respond.   I explained that there would be a quiet assurance that he would feel about the right decisions and choices, that one of the ways to know is that he is at peace with the decision, that it would sit right in his heart …

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].  (Colossians 3:15)  See link here

I said to him that as a Christian I believe I know what happened for him, and who it was that had asked me to pray for him, but I explained that he was on his own journey.  I said I was happy to answer any questions he had to the best of my ability, but it was his journey, and that no-one could or should force the issue on him.  I then briefly told him about a friend who was deeply afraid of the Christian faith and who had, over a 3-4 year journey, discovered the Christian God for herself.  I explained that she was now a worship leader in her local church.  I added, with emphasis, that it was her journey with God … and so too it would be his journey with God.

As many of you will know, a journey with God is not a single encounter, but a life journey, a continuous coming deeper into a relationship with a loving God.  So, I am trusting that this young mans’ encounter with a loving God will continue.  I hope he will reach out to God for himself as he steps into this next phase of his life.  I hope he is able to establish a grid for what has happened for him to date, as he comes to know that God thoroughly and absolutely adores him for him, just as he is.  I am trusting and hoping that he will continue to discover that, without any doubt …

God is Good!

And he was seen – God is Good!

I have been meaning to write this story up for a few weeks now … and with what came next  I knew it was high time I got my skates on!

Two or three weeks ago, I was purchasing a few items in a little local organic shop near where my children attend a regular activity.  This particular shop is just across from an elite training facility in dance, and over the last few years that I have shopped there, it has hired a number of the older students, who are often in their final year of training. On this particular night I looked at the young man serving me, and felt a promoting to pray for him.  It turned out he was in his final year of training at the facility across the road.  I mentioned my unction, and asked him if I could pray for him … he readily agreed, and I took his hand in mine and, although I felt the familiar nerves, I proceeded to pray .

I felt prompted to call in his destiny … and as I did I sensed that he had not felt seen for the years that he had trained at this facility (and it had been years!).  I felt that he had not only felt this way, but in fact he had been overlooked … not seen … and so I called him into the light, I declared that he would be seen, and that the doors of his destiny would open in the name of Jesus …

I stopped and looked at him and explained what I felt and what I had prayed.  He said to me that it was exactly how he had felt.  That he had never been seen, that he was constantly overlooked, or so he felt …

He asked me my name and I gave him my first name, and he then asked for my surname … it seemed important for him to know who I was … and so I told him … and he thanked me, he looked like he had felt something, but I didn’t ask …

I went to leave, but as I did I felt a boldness come over me, and I knew it was time for him to be seen, just as I had prayed.  I saw a picture of him which I described for him … and as I described it I acted it out in that little store, a little embarrassed, but really want him to know he was not to strive …

I said that he was a king, like royalty, a prince and that he was to imagine that he was, much like the roles he danced, and as I said this I stood as tall as I could and I started to step forward, and motioned with my arms that as royalty walked through doors, that there was no effort on their behalf to open such doors, that doors were opened for them … and I acted this out for him … and then I turned and looked at him and said …

… “this is how it will be for you … you will walk and the doors will open, no effort from you, you will not need to push, you just need to walk it out … like a king, the double doors will open” and he nodded with understanding, seemingly encouraged … and I said “I call it in Jesus name” … and I smiled saying to him “no effort, no striving, it will just happen … and I look forward to hearing about it!”

Well …

I was in this little shop with a friend on Monday night.  This young man was working again and I smiled at him and said hello and he smiled back. I chatted briefly to my friend while she had her tea, and as we got up to leave  he stopped me and said smiling:

“… you remember a few weeks ago you prayed for me, well …”

I looked and felt such joy rise up inside me … “you’ve been offered a contract!?” I said

“I have” he said … I wanted to hug him  with the sheer pleasure of hearing such news … and I told him so and he invited me to hug him … so I did!

“God IS Good!” I said, and he said back “he is.”

He told me that just after I had prayed for him he had been offered a contract with a company overseas.  The company had wanted him to start with them this year, but he had decided to finish his course, and they were happy to wait for him, so he would go early next year … I jumped with sheer delight … and I hugged him again …

I raced out to collect my boy … googling the company … and then after collecting my son I popped back and he told me that he had auditioned for a role in this company in a visiting show here in town.  The strange thing was, he had not got any part in the local staging of the show … but he had been later contacted by the people that he had auditioned before,  and they asked if they could pass on his contact details to the company’s director, who had expressed a desire to speak with him directly.  He agreed, and the director, on contacting him, had offered him a contract of employment overseas, in a terrific company … he was absolutely delighted … and I was too!

I smiled and repeated “God IS Good!” and I told him that all I had done was prophesy, to hear God’s heart for him and his life and to release it in prayer … he nodded in agreement, and seemed to understand … we both knew it was answered prayer, and he said to me maybe one day you will come and see me dance … and I said what a pure pleasure that would be … and oh what an encouragement to me this little story has been, I smiled all the way home for the sheer joy of seeing God love on another human being, to be a part, even a tiny part, of another human being’s journey, to let them see that, even if others had not seen him, God had seen him,  and God had not forgotten him … such answers to prayers, such answers to prophetic decrees makes stopping for the one, even with nerves at times, still so very worth it because …

God is Good!

Special education was her passion; Heaven her destination because…God is Good!

My daughter and I were up at the local shopping centre last Friday … checking school shoe size to ensure her feet were not cramped for the start of the new term.

As we ducked through a department store, I quickly noticed a jumper and felt to buy it and so, after checking size and colour, we proceeded to the cashier desk.

A beautiful young girl “Alicia” came to serve us, and as she processed the sale and bagged up my purchase I knew I was to ask her if I could pray for her.

She finished  processing the sale, and as she did I chatted to her, feeling my way through the “words of knowledge” that were popping  into my mind.   I mentioned that I felt she was not destined to work at the store, that there was something else to her future.  I asked her about that, and she  mentioned that she was studying  to become a teacher.  I explained I was a Christian and that I wanted to know if I could pray for her, for her destiny to open up and she readily agreed.  So, I took her hand in mine and listened for what God wanted me to pray … patiently listening, with my daughter by my side.

The word “travel” came to mind, and I sensed that it was “overseas travel”.  I asked her about this and she agreed she was saving up to travel overseas.  And so with the start of my “assignment” I proceeded to bless her finances, and declared “open doors” to her destiny.  I then “heard” the words “special ed”.  I again queried her, saying: “I know you are studying to become a teacher, but I sense that your heart is in special education, is that right?”   She took a breath, saying that yes, special education was her passion …

I then proceeded to pray open doors for her into the field of special education and I blessed those desires of her heart, declaring and telling her that she was going to be a marvellous special education teacher, that I sensed she would bless many “special ed children” and their families, that she would in fact alter destinies of those she taught for the better, … she would be  great, great blessing … and I knew these words to be so … I just knew

I then felt I heard the words “UK” … United Kingdom, and I asked her if she was travelling there.  She said she, in fact, wanted to travel to the USA to meet friends that were apparently having a blast over there.  I smiled and said to her to not discount the idea of travelling to the  United Kingdom, that there may be opportunities for her there and open doors for her to teach in special education and I said the UK was a wonderful place to live  … but, I also said, “I could also be wrong in that … just don’t discount the idea though” … and I smiled …

My daughter grinned up at me, and tugged on my arm in excitement, and Alicia said to me that she was shocked that I would know these things about her and so I explained to her that I knew these things not because I was special but because God wanted me to know them so that I could pray for her for them to come to pass, and so that she would know that she was loved by Him …

I then felt to ask her if she wanted Jesus Christ in her heart and I said: “you have not asked Jesus into your heart yet … have you?”

She replied she that she hadn’t asked Him into her heart, and so on an unction I asked her if she wanted to do so.  She thought  for a moment and said “yes, I do” and so in the women’s clothing section  she gave her heart to Jesus Christ, accepting what He had done for her on the cross and asking Him to fill her heart …

Once finished I felt to give her my mobile (cell) phone number and name, and I briefly explained my background so she would be comfortable to know I was not a fruit loop … and I left, with my 9-year-old daughter’s face shining, with me thoroughly washed in the love of Jesus (because that which flows through you, leaves a residual Presence … which, is why it is so much fun to do this) and with Alicia staring at us as we left … and, as she stared she would have seen a very ordinary mum and daughter … off to buy school shoes, hand in hand leaving behind a beautiful and much-loved young woman with a bright destiny open, and a salvation obtained.

I will be surprised if she does call me, I hope she does.  Some do call, but many don’t.  I may be criticised for this … leading someone to Christ but not following them up personally.  I used to, and ran myself ragged, and I now feel a peace about this because, I feel that unless God prompts me to get their number and chase them up, that He has their best interests at heart, and I trust that He will call them into His Church, into His Body …  and I feel that I leave them free to contact me as and when they wish … it is their journey with a loving Father, and hence their call …

Regardless, I do what I feel I am required to do, and I “go about My Father’s business” (Luke 2:49), as best can, and as I do I am certain and sure that they will know, that Alicia now knows that …

God is Good!

Calling all creative ones to shine – God is good!

I was with my 9½ year old daughter.  We had just purchased some new ballet shoes and placed an order for her first ½ tutu … her eyes were shining with anticipation as we left the ballet store in search for our Lindt Hot Chocolate treat …

We made or way through the shopping centre and I noticed a new store.  I felt the prompt to pop in and take a look.

We walked in and I looked at a few items.

Seeing some gum boots I asked God quickly if I was to buy these … but I felt a “no” and reminded myself that the vision He had given me were of red gumboots … not orange or teal like these were …

As I wandered a young girl serving followed me around the store chatting.  I sensed that I was to pray for her, but I wanted to take a look at the items first … in peace.

I walked around and as I looked she gathered together the rubbish and went to take it out, I thought “ok, now I’ll have to wait” … and feeling a bit frustrated that I may have missed it I continued to wander, knowing I needed to wait for her to return.

As I waited I was served by another assistant who helped me purchase a new little mug with a blue bird on it  … I felt God was highlighting this item for me to buy … a simple item to hold our toothbrushes in but a significant one in my world … yes I believe God cares about the detail in our lives …  As I finished up the purchase M (the young girl) came back into the store.

I turned to M, introduced myself and asked her if I could pray … explaining that I had felt that I was to offer earlier, and that through experience I had learnt to step out and risk looking strange because it had impacted so many people over the years when I did stop and pray for them because “the prayer of a righteous person are powerful and effective!” (James 5:16 emphasis added) …

She agreed to my praying, and I explained that I had no idea why I was to pray, but I asked if she was sick or if anyone she knew was … she wasn’t, and she didn’t … so I went with my first instinct and said “right I think I am just to bless you” …

I took her hands in mine, and blessed her and as I did I got the word “upgrade” and so I prayed “upgrade” … I called forth promotions (quietly, because as it turned out it was her boss across the store that had served me) and I declared her destiny open in the name of Jesus …

I very quietly said I believed that “upgrades” were coming and asked if she was after a promotion …

She motioned to her boss and quietly said yes and that I was freaking her out how did I know? …

We clearly could not talk, but that was fine with me, I didn’t want to take long and I felt I was simply there to move things in the spiritual, to declare God’s will into her world, so her destiny could be extended and outworked in the natural …

I said that the word I clearly felt, “heard” was “upgrade” and so I again agreed with God’s word over her, feeling the Holy Spirit’s Presence swirl as I did. I declared favour and open doors to her destiny in the Name of Jesus …

I turned to go and stopped and looked at her and said “you’re very creative aren’t you?”

She looked and said to me “yes I am … now you are really starting to freak me out … “

I smiled and said to her quietly … “step into it, God made you that way, and it is who you are … He delights in you being you, so don’t stifle it, or you will be stifled …

And I left, with my precious creative little 9½ year old daughter whose dreams I am nurturing and calling into fruition …

God is a creative God ….

We are made in a creative God’s image …

And so I call forth the creative ones and I say:

“Arise, shine for your light has come!” (Isaiah 60:1)

Shine into the darkness creative ones … be all you are called to be … dare to be you …

For I believe that as we walk out our true design and we allow ourselves to shine, the earth will be blessed and God will delight as He gazes upon His children … for I believe that like any loving parent He delights in us being all we are called to be because …

Destinies, dancing and release…Part 4

Continued from previous posts at: Destinies, dancing and release … Part one, Part Two and Part Three

The final “chapter” of this weekend … now long gone, but people not forgotten …. played out in the foyer of the hotel.

My husband went to check our room for left behind items … while I finalised the bill and arranged for our car to be collected from parking.

As I stood at the counter to pay, out of the corner of my eye I saw a man with bandages over both his hands and up his arms.  As soon as I saw him I knew I was to pray…

I arranged for the car to be collected and walked over, mentioned the obvious to him and offered to pray.

He instantly took me up on my offer and explained that he had come off his bike, causing dreadful injuries to his arms and hands where he had lost most of the skin.  I thought how useless he must feel standing there unable to do anything like lift bags however, nonetheless, there he was on duty …

I gently took his hands and released healing over his hands and arms, commanding healing to take place quickly.

As I prayed I knew there was more, I knew he also was not doing what his heart desired to do, he was not fulfilling his dreams, his destiny …

I explained what I sensed and he agreed, looking a bit teary and so I called his destiny open, and spoke words of life over him.  I cannot remember exactly what they were, but they seemed to hit his heart and he gently said “Amen” and “Bless you” when I had finished praying …

I prophesied life over him and called Him into his place as a tall and noble man …

I quietly thanked him for allowing me to pray and I turned and walked back to my husband who was now waiting for me across the foyer.  As I approached him I smiled saying “what a weekend … lots of people being released into destinies!” …

God sure had been busy!  He wanted those around us prayed for, touched, destinies released, dreams recognised, called into, called out and brought forth to the light … to the surface.  Designs for life, designs for living had been released, and people had been set free … and I hoped that they all would dive straight into all they were called to …

It fascinated me … the entire weekend had a theme running through out  … the creative ones were being released, the hidden treasures were being called into their God given futures, into their heaven made designs … people were being called to step into their futures as God had designed them, they were being set free to fly and soar and create and be and He cared enough to show me the secrets of their heart so that His word could be released into and over their lives and He did this because …

Destinies, dancing and release … Part 3

Continued from previous post at: Destinies, dancing and release … Part one and Part Two

A theme was beginning to emerge …

There was creativity to be released, God-given destinies to be fulfilled, people to be released from their past, from their present, from their assumed “futures”, and from their circumstances ….

There were passions to be revealed, to be released, to be uncovered … so that God’s desired futures could be revealed and stepped into, with boldness, clarity and fullness …

There was a desire of God to see His children (whether they knew him or not) to step into their God-given destinies …

And so … the following day after an enjoyable day and a good nights sleep we were back down the street looking for one more item for my husband, an extra that he had said he wanted …

We headed out, looked, and found some jeans on sale instead … bagged those and headed back out into the street where I saw a bag shop … a girlie bag shop for girlie girls …

We checked the time and checked our intentions to enter the shop with God … after all … it was His agenda … not ours … that we were called to fulfill, to honour and to meet as a Beloved Child of the most High God …

With the go ahead on both fronts we wandered in, and I found a simple design … just the right thing for me to replace an old travel bag I had been using for years.  It was pretty, but very practical, and still able to be slung over my shoulder so I could scooter up the street with the kids, but not drab and ugly like the one I had used for so very long …

As we paid for the bag I again knew I had to pray for the girl.  I could feel the anointing of God swirling around and I could feel the familiar pull to offer to pray, to bless and to release yet another loved one into their destiny … I was to encourage, to inspire and to love on behalf of My Loving God!

I offered to pray, as people milled around the small store.

The girl agreed.

My husband stepped back, so as to give a sense of privacy to the two of us, and I started.

I sensed she had not yet stepped into her passion, that she was not doing what she loved.  I said so … she agreed … and so I declared her destiny open, I released her into her destiny, and said that I sensed she was highly creative, very artistic, and that she had submerged that passion, that dream.  I said that she had hidden the dream since she was little girl, the passion had been submerged so deeply … but that it was time for her to dream again, to allow that passion to arise, and so I called it forth.

I saw her painting … and I told her so …

Tears streamed down her face as she tried to compose herself … apologising for the flow of emotion … and she said “how did you know? How did you know? I am an artist but I have not painted for ages, it’s what I love, it’s who I am …”

I said that I had simply told her what I “saw”, what God had “shown” me and said to her again that she was created to be creative, to be an artist, and that God loved her so much that He wanted to see her fulfil her God-given destiny more than she did … and so I encouraged her to start painting again, to step into it … smiling at her through my own tears for her.

I encouraged her to pursue her passion again …

I dared her to dream again …

She nodded saying she would start to paint, she would start to dream and she smiled through the tears as we left the store …

I had bagged a bag (:-)) and she had been touched by a loving God …

I called to her as I left the store that if she did start to paint again she would shine simply because she was created to paint, she was created for greatness, simply because …

God is Good!

… to be continued …
